Development Aid and Disability

This is a critically important element in the struggle to achieve the objectives of the new UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Fo one thing, no amount of excellent law reform will bring about meaningful change in very poor countries. Something extra is needed and that will inevitably mean leveraging development aid to bring it into closer alignment with the convention.

Two important resources are the World Bank (Poverty and Disability resources) and the newly formed Global Partnership on Development an Disability (GPDD):
